French Equatorial Africa was an area in west central Africa made up of 4 self governing dependencies -
Middle Congo,
Ubangi-shari,
Gabon and
Chad. The area was formed in 1910 from french colonies in the area and went on until 1958 when they declared themselves autonomous republics and full independence in 1960.
