Bahrain is a group of islands in the Persian gulf just offshore from Saudi Arabia. Up until 1971 it was a British protectorate when it became an independent state.
the note here is the two sides of a 1 Dinar, no date on it but its from 2007. The front has a picture of El hedaya al khalifya school and the reverse has Arabian horses and the salt and pearl monument from the capital Manama.
