The Republic of Costa Rica is a country in central america with its capital being San Jose . The Spanish colonised part of Costa Rica in 1563 and remained there up until 1821, when a group of countries declared independence from Spain. Costa Rica initially joined the united provinces of central america but it desolved in 1838 when Costa Rica declared full independence.

This is a smashing note and one of the first ones I had from central america. its a 5 Colon note from 1990 and the front has Rafael Yglesias Castro and some flowers but its the colourful back that I love the reds and blues of the dresses are stunning - can you tell I like this note !!
