The Republic of Djibouti, formerly the Afars and Issacs, is a country at the north east end of Africa at the mouth of the Red Sea. It became Djibouti in 1977, after a civil war between the Afar minority and the Issac majority. it was named after the capital city Djibouti.Still has close links to France.
