The Principality of Hutt River, formerly the Hutt River province, is an recognised micro-nation in Australia. Set up in 1970 . The monetary unit is a Hutt River Dollar which is pegged to the Australian dollar and is one of around 10 micro-national currencies that produce banknotes.
