FAROE ISLANDS



The Faroe Islands are a self-governing part of the kingdom of Denmark with a capital of Thorshavn. It is believed that vikings first came to the islands in the 9th century and the islands have been part of denmark since the 14th century. the Islands have been self-governing since 1948.

The Note above is from 2002 and has a fish's tail on the front and a hand drawn view of Klaksvik, the second largest town, on the back.
