EGYPT

The Arab Republic of Egypt is a country in north east Africa with a capital city of Cairo. In 1882 the British took Egypt from the Ottoman Turks and in 1952 Egypt gained their independence after overthrowing the pro British royal family. In 2012 Hosni Mubarak , the president, was overthrown by a popular uprising which was part of the "Arab Spring

monetary units: 1 Pound = 100 piastres

The note above is the 1940 , 10 piastres note issued by the egyptian government with king Farouk on the front right.

This is the 5 pounds note from 1986 with the Ibn Toulon Mosque on the front and a egyptian design on the back

The 3 notes above all come from the 1998 except the top (25 Piastres which is between 1990 and 1999).
so from the top is 25 Piastres with Al-Sayida Aisha mosque on the front and the coat of arms on the back. next is the 10 Piastres from 1998 with the sphinx on the front, and then the 5 Piatres with Queen Nefertiti on the front right. you can see the arabic numbers here

The last two notes here are the 1 pound from 2001-3 which depicts The Sultan Quaitbey mosque and the Abu Simbel temple on the back. Then there is the 50 Piastres from 2003 showing the Al Azhar Mosque ,with Rameses II statue on reverse. The trick with Egyptian notes is to figure out the signatures as one design may have been used for many decades.
