BERMUDA





Bermuda is still a British colony with its capital being Hamilton. the British monetary system of 12 pence +1 shilling, 20 shillings = 1 pound (commonly known as LSD)was used up until 1970 and then converted to a decimal system 100 cents = 1 dollar ($1).

the 4 notes above, all with the portrait of Elizabeth II, queen of England, are as follows.
$5 from 1996, the reverse has a picture of a lighthouse
$2 from 1988, the reverse has the naval dockyards clock tower and a map of the island,
£1 from 1957, the reverse has 3 circle decoration ,2 with £ signs and one with a coat of arms.
$1 from 1982, the reverse has 2 sailboats.
