SEYCHELLES





The Republic of Seychelles is an island country in the Indian ocean, on the east coast of Africa, with a capital city of Victoria. The country was a British Crown Colony from 1903 until independence in 1976. it declared itself a socialist one-party state in 1979 until 1991. a new constitution was adopted in 1993.

monetary unit: 1 rupee = 100 cents

The two notes above are both 10 rupee notes from different dates. the top one from 1979, and pictures a red footed booby one the front and a woman picking flowers on the reverse. the reverse is printed vertically. The second is from 1989, with scouts on the front and a drummer and dancers on the reverse.
