TANZANIA

The United Republic of Tanzania, is a country in East Africa with a capital city of Dodoma. In the 19th Century , Germany conquered all the mainland areas of Tanzania (not Zanzibar) and incorporated it into German East Africa. After World War I, the area became a British Mandate until Independence in 1961 when it was called the Republic of Tanganyika and then in 1964 , after joining with Zanzibar became the United Republic of Tanzania.
