LIECHTENSTEIN
The Principality of Liechtenstein is located between Austria and Switzerland, in Central Europe, with a capital of Vadus.
Liechtenstein came into being in 1719. it was a member of the Rhine Confederation from 1806-1815 and then the German Confederation until 1856 when it became independent. It abolished its army in 1868. In 1921, it adopted the Swiss currency and Switzerland has responsibility for its international affairs.
Monetary Unit: 1 Krone = 100 Heller (up to 1924)
A bit like the country, this note is tiny 3"x 1 3/4" (76mm x 45mm) from 1920, its the 10 Heller note with the coat of arms on the front and a villa, printed vertically, on the reverse.
These Notes above are not currency but were issued as a commemoration of the 60th anniversary of he Vilnius Ghetto and the holocaust victims there in . I've turned the 5 note around so as to see the reverse, each note has a different picture from the Ghetto. You can read an account here
