This note is from Malaya and from the second world war Japanese occupation of what was known as British Malaya. the unusual thing about these notes is that most have a two letter serial number - this one has MP . It is a 10 Dollar note issued by the Japanese government.
The front has some trees with fruit and the reverse has a picture of a boat on the horizon.
